Projects In Motion
Tracking the milestones that move us forward.
Tracking the milestones that move us forward.
Our leadership is growing—and so is our capacity to protect, plan, and serve. November marked one of the most transformative months in TAP’s development. With four new board members officially onboarded, and both a new Chairperson and Secretary now in place, we’ve taken a decisive step toward shared responsibility and long-term sustainability.
This expansion isn’t just structural. It’s deeply human.
Every new leader widens our perspective, strengthens our stability, and helps lighten the load carried by our most overextended volunteers. It brings us closer to a governance team capable of holding the full weight of our mission.
And the momentum continues: the November 30 Special Board Meeting will address additional bylaw updates, the appointment of a permanent Treasurer, two more board members, and further adjustments to ensure ethical, conflict-free leadership.
This month, we didn’t just add names to a roster.
We strengthened the backbone of the organization—and set the stage for the next chapter of transparent, accountable, shared leadership.
Status: 🟢 Active
We’ve centralized over 40 drafted policies and 5 handbooks into a single, searchable library on the intranet, streamlining internal access and preparing for formal board adoption.
Next Steps: Finalize status tags, bundle voting materials, and launch the policy review hub ahead of the November 2 Board Meeting.
With over sixty policies drafted and organized, we are now moving into the first structured review cycle. These policies form the backbone of our governance, finance, operations, and safety systems, and will guide consistent, accountable practice across the organization.
Next Steps: Assign review groups, prepare voting packets, and schedule the next round of board approvals.
Following November’s board meeting, leadership capacity continues to grow. Four new members have been onboarded, officer roles have begun to shift, and additional structural changes are prepared for the upcoming Special Meeting.
Next Steps: Finalize candidate materials, prepare amendment proposals, and organize voting procedures for the November 30 Special Meeting.
Behind the scenes, the early groundwork for future relocation support is taking shape. We are identifying viable countries, reviewing safety indicators, and building initial connections with international allies who share our commitment to protection and dignity.
Next Steps: Compile priority country profiles, initiate first-round outreach emails, and draft a preliminary pathways overview for internal review.
Governance Materials Updated - Official Meeting Minutes were finalized and posted, and updated bylaws were added to the public access folder. These documents strengthen transparency and set the stage for consistent, accountable governance moving forward.
Policy Library Expanded - The Policy Library surpassed sixty drafted policies across governance, finance, safety, IT, and volunteer operations. Documents are now fully organized into categories that reflect TAP’s real workflows, supporting the next round of board review and adoption.
Leadership & Board Growth - Four new board members were officially onboarded, and roles for Chairperson and Secretary were successfully filled. This expanded leadership team increases capacity, distributes responsibilities, and strengthens TAP’s long-term stability.
Intranet & Contact Systems Improved - Executive business cards and the internal email directory were fully rolled out, creating a clearer communication pathway for staff, volunteers, and external partners.
Public-Facing Communications Continued - Crossing Points, Compass, and Paths Forward remained in active publication, keeping the community informed through storytelling, updates, and educational content. This consistency reinforces trust and deepens public engagement with TAP’s mission.
